The above took place this week in Florence, AL. The first 6:45 is pretty much the perp taunting the cops, etc. So I started it here. My take is the cops were across the road on unrelated business. The guy seen on the video is David Culliver. He keeps coming across the street asking questions, taking verbal jabs at the cops, etc. The bears had been poked enough and when they tried to arrest Mr. Culliver, he resisted. Besides being grossly outnumbered, outgunned, etc. the Popo had a dog which they promptly hissed on David. That's when David bit back and then the cops went to work on him until he loosened his jaw-hold from the dog's leg. It could have been a lot worse. It could have all been avoided altogether, but ____________behavior took place (not sure what the term is for behavior that undermines ones own well being/Dumbassery to the infinite power?). As far as I know, the dog has not shown any signs of disease. 
And of course, the local media will cry 'police brutality'.

I am seeing this more and more, even on videos that I have watched in the past. Being a crusty olde pharte, I simply refuse to do business with them or Google. I'm guessing somehow they recognize you, maybe through Google? Beyond that I have no clue.

ReplyDeleteSaw a video the other day, up to nine SD police dealing with an Amish street nut job with a broom stick. Shot him several times with a bean bag gun, then let the dog loose. Amish man hits the dog, I guess a voice command given to bite the guys arm, game over. Made me think back in the 60s / 70s two NYC cops would have subdued him with night sticks. We have lost our way.
