  1. Actually, watch Angela Cervantes with Brit Floyd

We saw her in Atlanta. It was a flawless reproduction of the original.

  2. I've attended Brit Floyd's concert three times so far, at the Tennessee Theater in Knoxville, beginning in 2017. Each time Eva Avila performed this piece, it brought down the house. At the first concert in 2017, the entire band made their way into the lobby and sat behind tables to meet with the fans and sign autographs, have photos taken and make general interactions. In subsequent performances the popular thing of "Meet & Greet" tickets sales fell into play. Still, it is a worthy event if you can go!

  4. In my city (not US) there's a PF tribute band that I think is excellent - I can't tell them apart from the real deal sound wise. The lady that I last heard do this at their concert was outstanding and sounded better that the genuine CD renditions I have. Most of the band live in my subhurb. I had one of their T shirts on in the local supermarket one day and the lead guitarist ( he was wearing his hi viz from his day job) saw me said thanks for the support. I told him how wonderful the lady was and he said he'd pass the compliment on. Talent is everywhere (except in me).

  7. And each time she did that riff, it was completely unique.
Think about that for a minute.

  8. It is interesting how different people view music. This track is a perfect example. Loads of people love it. But, it makes me wish for an asteroid impact. Not to take away from the singer's obvious talent, of course. It's just not a track that I have ever enjoyed. I tend to skip it whenever it comes on. They did release a version without the vocals and it shows Rick Wright in rare form on the keys. I like that version quite a bit. Oh well, Roger Waters once said "Not everyone can be a fan..."

    1. I agree. You can tell she has the voice when she goes down lower but most of that is so lacking (to me) in musicality it was cringe worthy; no tone, no depth up high.

  9. Minnie Riperton would of killed this song?

  10. Great rendition, hit all the notes. Still prefer Clair Torrey though.
This Eva Avila (Eva eagle) all dolled up in that dominatrix outfit kinda works for me. Kinda.

  11. In July 1982 I was 18, just graduated from high school and I’m in my 78 Bronco XLT. With some of my graduation money I installed a Craig stereo am/fm cassette player and Jensen tri-axels. I’m driving to Phoenix Arizona to attend trade school. There is no air conditioning, I’m playing Dark Side of the Moon and my father who was accompanying me across the country is asleep in the passenger seat, miserable, with hot Oklahoma air blowing on him. This song comes on and I turn the volume up just a little more. Half way through, pop snaps awake trying to figure out how to turn the sound down and screaming at me, “ you call that music? That sounds like some n!&&€r screaming with a corn cob hanging out his ass.” I looked over at him and said that I liked the song as I popped out the cassette and found some country music station.
Now every time I listen to the song I remember that and my father. He passed 3 years ago. I still like the song and I miss and love my dad.

  14. We saw Brit Floyd when they came to Boise about 6 years ago. Not sure if Eva was the singer with them but if not she was just as amazing. We were spellbound.
