  4. Just as bad, if not worse... Working maintenance at a car wash about 10 years ago, a pickup truck went through with about 20 bungee cords in the bed. The overhead brush picked them up, and ran roughshod over the next car behind it, both drivers unaware of what had happened, until it was way too late.
Flailed the he** out of the car.

    1. Heard about a set of jumper cables left in the back that did that same thing. Beat the next car to snot.

  5. Now try unwinding about a quarter mile of barb wire from under a rotary shredder. Of forty of fifty feet of woven wire. The car wash looks easy next to those two. Both times the shredder had to be turned on its back and a torch came into play. The wire was wrapped too tight to get at with a side cutter or a bolt cutter so the torch it was.

  7. Back years ago I drove the family car through a car wash. It turned out the prior (idiot) customer had a pickup truck with jumper cables in the back. Beat the hell out of my car before I could get it out of there. Then my insurance company beat the hell out of the car wash company. No idea if they ever caught up with the pickup guy.

  9. FM tower site in NE MO........tower erection crew left about 120 ft of 7/9" guy cable laying in the weeds. Took the shredder operator an hour to cut it loose, and 6 hours with a cutting torch to salvage the shredder...not including replacing blade spindles, blades, and belts.
