I seem to do nothing but school youtube trained technicians here. As I said to Anon 2:03pm, those went out with the application of the thermomavenol valves..... as in LAST YEAR!!!
Reminds me of a real concept called the paraformer that worked but never caught on. Similar to a typical transformer but where the orientation of the laminations was such that it took advantage of the second part of the equation for AC current passing through an inductor. I = L dv/dt + E dL/dt. That is, the change of inductance over time-a concept that exists but was up until that time was never put into practice in a real product. For those who don't quite understand, ask someone who understands how a magnetic amplifier works. Not sure whether to believe me? Okay, do a search on "paraformer" and you will find there were 2 brothers behind the concept and learn about their efforts.
BTW, anyone who understands magnetic 'reluctance' will understand. Hat tip to ghostsniper.
I'm sending this to my last boss. They'll buy 2, put them next to the 6 axis Nakamura nobody can program so one of the spindles sits idle. Whataya figure, $700K/each?
Sad. “Nobody can program”. I would be messing with that thing trying to figure out the best way to make it sing. Solid Works and Mastercam probably have post processors for that configuration. It would be fun to watch a complete part come off that machine.
The guy who could quit. Sometimes someone tries something interesting, it usually leads to loud noises. They use it for easy stuff that must embarrass the machine.
An obvious fraud! There was no mention of the essential left-handed frammistat with a flywheel gasket!

Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteIMHO, the turbo-retro-encabulator was a solution in search of an underpowered problem.
Wow, he's missing out on the big bucks not being a political spokesperson!!
ReplyDeleteHe forgot to mention the McGurken Valve with the Degrugen Pins attached to the Snellin Crack Case Defumelator....
ReplyDeleteHe didn't forget, Mr Dinosaur... those went out last year. Keep up. Sheesh
DeleteWhat I said about your A-page. AGAIN! One more may get you a visit from STAN-EVAL!
DeleteWhatd he say?
ReplyDeleteWait a minute. I'm going to have to return to this video later because I've got a sudden and nasty nosebleed.
ReplyDeleteThat he did that whole bit with a straight face is impressive in its own right.

The last good job I had was with Rockwell. That company does not exist anymore.
