Anyone Remember Back In Early January When The Car Went Off The Cliff In California?

For some reason I thought of this as I drove to work yesterday morning.

Here is a still from the dashcam video that was circulated on the news and webz.

Weeks and months went by with nothing.

When I got to work and had a couple minutes I did a search for "car off cliff in california". I was kind of surprised when it was revealed they had finally identified the missing person after four months. By that time we were deep into 24/7 covid coverage and, like most sensational stories, the follow up never gets the same air play.

Four months after a dark colored 2007 Lexus RX was captured on a dashcam of a passing motorist jumping off a cliff and into the ocean in San Mateo County, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) believes it has finally solved the sad mystery of who was behind the wheel of the vehicle.

According to a statement released by the CHP, the driver of the Lexus was San Francisco resident Tracey Ivori Sinclair. The department said human remains and Sinclair’s Californian driver’s license were discovered at nearby Montara State Beach in the ensuing months.

“Additionally, a Missing Person’s Report filed for Ms. Sinclair by family members and a DNA match confirmed by the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office provided the remaining circumstantial evidence to indicate Ms. Sinclair was the driver of the Lexus captured on dash cam footage in December,” said the CHP.

 The media will have you believe a choir boy was on his way to church on his moped when he was purposely run over by law enforcement.

  PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WHDH) - Hundreds of people took to the streets in Providence, Rhode Island Tuesday night to demand justice for a 24-year-old man who was critically injured in an officer-involved moped crash over the weekend. (Sunday Night)

Earlier Sunday evening, ABC6 cameras captured over 100 ATVs and dirt bikes riding through Providence. According to the President of the Providence Firefighters Union, Derek Silva, firefighters responded to a total of 4 crashes involving the dirt bikes and ATVs on Sunday evening.

“Providence firefighters are responding to more motor vehicle crashes involving illegal ATVs and dirt bikes than ever before,” Silva said.  “These illegal ATV and dirt bikes are causing crashes that have led to serious injuries and even death. They have no business in our city.”

In 2017, an ordinance was passed through Providence City Council that allows police to confiscate and destroy illegal bikes and ATVs.

Earlier this month, 33 illegal dirt bikes and ATVs seized by police were destroyed.

Although Providence Police were seen following the bikers, the Providence Police Department has certain no-chase policies due to public safety liabilities, and police say stopping the bikers is often an issue.

So illegal bikes and ATVs are illegal in the he city? Did I read that right?

2014	Bretton Woods replaced old snowmaking pipe and added 35 new, high efficiency HKD SV 10 towers representing an investment of over $300,000, plus another $100,000 in new rental equipment.  The addition of Fabyan Fields will include a Nordic racing arena and event fields.
2013	An expansion of Mount Stickney aimed at the Nordic skier takes place at the Bretton Woods Ski Area at the Omni Mount Washington Resort for the 2013-14 seasons. Additional Nordic terrain is added to the already vast network of 100km. These new high-altitude trails will provide the avid Nordic skier with early and late season terrain. Extending out from the new Mount Stickney Cabin, these new trails will circle up along the ridge to the summit of Mount Stickney and connect into the Stickney trail system.  It will be the quintessential spot for Nordic races and events. The $1.3 million expansion also welcomed 40 snow guns on Crawford’s Blaze and 20 upgraded snow guns to Ben trails (Ben, Big Ben, and Bigger Ben). In addition, guests will be able to enjoy the recently expanded Bretton Woods Canopy Tour. New this year, Bretton Woods has upgraded the Canopy Tour to include 4 new zips lines adding 1,000 more feet of high-flying fun. 2012	The Omni Mount Washington Resort continues its transformation with a $1.4 million investment in the redesign of the Omni Bretton Arms Inn. The Inn also welcomed a new Bretton Arms Dining Room and bar. Over at Bretton Woods, the resort continued its $750,000 expansion of Mount Stickney with the instillation of a new 2,000-foot Doppelmayr T-Bar and a new 600-square-foot log cabin and another $200,000 on 50 new SV10 Impulse snowguns on the popular Range View trail.
