And Now.. A Musical Interlude For Friday Night..

Soylent, you might remember him from Soylent Siberia, posted this on his twitter feed.

Gordon Lightfoot.  82 Years Old.

In the early 2000s he suffered a splenic artery aneurysm, six week coma, later a stroke and three marriages and he's still standing...

  3. Thanks. I have been a GL fan since the early 70s and this was just more of Gord's Gold.

  4. My favorite: Edmund Fitzgerald. Never had the slightest inkling to be a sailor, let alone on a Great Lakes freighter.

  6. I'm glad he is still with us. He played at the U of I in the mid-70's, Just him and a guitar, great voice, great concert and this is coming from a hardcore Led Zep freak. I think it is interesting what age has done to his voice, it is more whispery, less baritone. Again, glad he is still with us.
