Turn him over to the social service people. They know where to put that mouthy little shit. And don't let him back in your house until he is at least 35 years old.
61 years old next month, 84 year old father, can count on one hand the number of times he put hands on me in anger. They were all memorable. To this day I wouldn't raise my voice to him out of respect. I love him dearly. 27 year old son, 6'3" street cop working the ghetto in large city, can count the times I put hands on him in anger on one hand. Bet he remembers every one of them. He wouldn't raise his voice to me out of respect. My guess is his son will be the same way. What's taught is what's learned. That punk kid started down the road to punk kidville long before that video and if handle properly then that video wouldn't exist today.
I ran into this problem with my step son. I slammed the litter fucker into the concrete floor so hard it took him a full 5 minutes to catch his breath, while he was doing that I drug him to the street by his hair reminding the little asshole the whole way that I was not his daddy and he was in my house and was no longer welcome. Ever since that day the now man treats me and all of his elders with the respect they deserve. Don't worry about going to jail they need to be taught a life lesson and better it be you than someone that is going to put them in the hospital or their grave for spouting off to the wrong mutherfucker like that.
Anon in CA: He should check with his county child services. They can tell you where they draw the line on physical discipline. E.g. where I am, we can only strike in a fleshy body part (think buttocks etc), and it can't leave a permanent mark (e.g. use the hand). So yes, I can strike for discipline under those conditions only. I'm sure the limit varies with your locality.
Failing that, I would have told the kid to go ahead and hit me. Then I'd call the police myself and press charges, while informing him I would not be there to bail him out.
And yes, I've been in both situations, so I speak from sad experience.
There's a whole lot of backstory there we don't know about. Easy to say "beat the punks ass blah blah". Who's filming, and why? Why's it on the Internet? Where's "Mom"? Is this the Father or Step-father? Was this father gun shy due to previous domestic situation where LEO's were called? Again, east to say give ass beating, without asking why this was being recorded. They're probably pushing Dad's buttons, setting him up for jail. Sounds like a hell hole home.
When I was a teenager and spouting off about how I was stronger than my father (because I was lifting a lot), he said to me very matter-of-factly, "OK, maybe you're stronger than me and can take me. Just don't go to sleep that night."
First order of business take video camera which dad probanly paid for anyway. Second order of business kick ass---boy and whoever was filming. Third order of business throw them both out and change the locks Paul in Texas
Bad parenting 15 years ago and this is what you get.
ReplyDeleteYup.
DeleteThere are more times when the camera is not on when you can induce real terror on little Johnny and change his attitude.
ReplyDeleteBeat his ass and throw him out in the street .
ReplyDeleteKick the shit out of him.....the guys in prison will respect you for it....
ReplyDeleteBoom boom, out go the lights.
ReplyDeleteI'd go to jail. No son or daughter ever talked to me like that cause they know I would make their day very unpleasant.
ReplyDeleteThe father is likely responsible for this. The kid wouldn't behave like that if the father had stomped him at the first sign of disrespect.
ReplyDeleteMy God I venture to say anyone here that would have said that to their Father would not have had time to hear the Boom-Boom lights out.....
ReplyDeleteis he the real father or a step-father? that would make a big difference in how you handle that.
ReplyDeleteThere won't be no days like that around here, jail or no jail.

ReplyDeleteI would have head butted that little motherfucker. When he woke up I would have told him to get his shit and get out too.
ReplyDeleteBad parenting began years ago. On his 18th birthday change the locks.

I'm not a big fan of "documenting" anything.....
ReplyDeleteWe got a sayin, Fear the Dark. Suns gonna go down the camera gonna go off and Timmys gonna fall down a 100 flights of stairs!
