♫♫ Irish's Ipod Celebrates Diversity... Dark-Hard to Pop- Dance ♫♫
So, I ran some errands earlier and these two songs played back to back on the ipod.
I had to laugh at myself.
With the negatives of the previous post......Why Do So Many People Regard Obama Positively?....
From American Thinker:
After studying public opinion for many years, I think I have a fairly good understanding of what shapes the typical American’s political views. There is, however, one topic that has me flummoxed: why so many Americans still hold rosy opinions about Barack Obama as the president and as a person.
Pollingreport.com posted the latest polls by about a dozen organizations plumbing Americans’ recent opinions about Obama’s job performance. Most major poll results showed approval of his job performance averaged 45-46%. Disapproval averaged two or three percentage points higher. A CNN/ORC poll conducted June 26-28, however, showed his job approval at 50% while 47% disapproved. The Gallup poll’s daily tracking report for July 14, 2015 showed Obama’s job performance rating at 46% approval vs. 49% disapproval. (Approval of Obama’s job performance will probably increase following the deal with Iran.)

With these issues on his resume, what is this President's actual agenda and endgame?
He makes deals with Iran, ignores ISIS,
alienates our allies while pandering to our enemies, ignores all
military advice and refuses to call Islamic extremists by name!
And then, when ISIS attacks and kills 4 of our Marines, he speaks about it with the same level of passion I imagine he would express if his steak came out too rare.
I ask again can a President be this bad and consistently wrong by accident?
I don't think so! Manchurian President anyone?
From October 15, 2014 this synopsis is worth a replay...
Open Letter To Liberals: Obama and a sad I told you so!
I bring up this 'I told you so' certainly up not to gloat, but as a reminder to all of the liberals out there that elections can and do have consequences!
This article is meant primarily for all those liberals at the restaurant, the bar, the beach, the gym and any
of the other places where I've had verbal fights about the political realities in the US and Barack Obama in particular.
Pre-2008 and even in 2012 they would all say that Obama was going to be the man to transform America and that McCain and Romney were jokes.
Not that they could tell you why this was the case but after all liberals will be liberals no matter what.
And unfortunately they were right about one thing: This President has been doing his level best to change this country!

♫♫ Epitaph.... ♫♫
This was on the ipod playlist this morning.
The wall on which the prophets wrote
Is cracking at the seams
Upon the instruments of death
The sunlight brightly gleams
Is cracking at the seams
Upon the instruments of death
The sunlight brightly gleams
When every man is torn apart
With nightmares and with dreams
Will no one lay the laurel wreath
When silence drowns the screams?
With nightmares and with dreams
Will no one lay the laurel wreath
When silence drowns the screams?
Confusion will be my epitaph
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back and laugh
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying
Yes, I fear tomorrow I'll be crying
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back and laugh
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying
Yes, I fear tomorrow I'll be crying
Between the iron gates of fate
The seeds of time were sown
And watered by the deeds of those
Who know and who are known
The seeds of time were sown
And watered by the deeds of those
Who know and who are known
Knowledge is a deadly friend
If no one sets the rules
The fate of all mankind I see
Is in the hands of fools
If no one sets the rules
The fate of all mankind I see
Is in the hands of fools
Confusion will be my epitaph
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back and laugh
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying
Yes, I fear tomorrow I'll be crying
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back and laugh
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying
Yes, I fear tomorrow I'll be crying

Suspected Shooter is Named...... Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez
Citing law enforcement sources, CBS News reported Thursday that Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez is the name of the suspected gunman who shot at two military-related facilities in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Original story continues below…
Five people were killed on Thursday including a suspected gunman who opened fire at two military-related facilities in Chattanooga, Tennessee in an attack local officials described as an act of domestic terrorism.
The other four killed were Marines at a Naval Reserve Center, a military official said in Washington, DC. The suspected shooter, who has not been identified, is believed to have lived in the area, local police said.

Winning the Battle of the Narrative
It’s been said that in the court of law, it’s not the side who has the best facts, flashiest exhibits or even the best witnesses, but the side that tells the best story who will win. The same could be said of propaganda in the court of public opinion as well – just ask the folks at the US State Department’s Center for Strategic Counter-Terrorism Communications (CSCC), the world’s first government-sponsored enterprise not run by an Intelligence agency to counter online jihadist propaganda. Their unofficial motto, coined at the agency’s formation in 2010, is “The war of narratives has become even more important than the war of navies, napalm, and knives.” That motto was taken from the diary of American jihadist Omar Hammami, who until his death in 2013 was a leader in the Somali Islamist militant group, al-Shabab.
This Battle of the Narrative (and Counter-Narrative) can be a tricky tradecraft to master. It requires doses of several moving parts: psychology, sociology, political science, and an ability to influence and manipulate. This is the challenge the CSCC faces in producing a worthwhile counter-narrative to the salafist propaganda by deed. While the Islamic State can appeal to the deepest yearnings of some young men through cultural identity, religion, and self-actualization, the Islamic State also appeals to a sense of action – violent videos are often used to incite further action for the greater good of Islam. This propaganda by deed invokes a sense of duty and belonging, while also serving something bigger than themselves, and that can be a powerfully attractive message for someone who is looking for meaning in his life.

For the most part I am a happy-go-lucky fellow. However, in these trying times each one of us must look inward and ask ourselves and one another
How Long Before You Resist?
I have been waiting a long time for people in this community to decide that enough is enough and contact me with plans to do something in the face of the continual abuses of the federal government. I don't know what it takes to motivate resistance. We are witnessing the absolute destruction of our society and I know there are those out there who deplore the changes taking place in our society, but none who are motivated to act.

Interesting Article on The Cascadia Subduction Zone And What It Would Do To The Pacific Northwest.....
When the 2011 earthquake and tsunami struck Tohoku, Japan, Chris Goldfinger was two hundred miles away, in the city of Kashiwa, at an international meeting on seismology. As the shaking started, everyone in the room began to laugh. Earthquakes are common in Japan—that one was the third of the week—and the participants were, after all, at a seismology conference. Then everyone in the room checked the time.
Seismologists know that how long an earthquake lasts is a decent proxy for its magnitude. The 1989 earthquake in Loma Prieta, California, which killed sixty-three people and caused six billion dollars’ worth of damage, lasted about fifteen seconds and had a magnitude of 6.9. A thirty-second earthquake generally has a magnitude in the mid-sevens. A minute-long quake is in the high sevens, a two-minute quake has entered the eights, and a three-minute quake is in the high eights. By four minutes, an earthquake has hit magnitude 9.0.

What Happens When Ted Nugent Texts Kid Rock?
Ted Nugent and Kid Rock have teamed up to record a song in support of the Confederate flag. The song, titled “Kiss My Rebel Ass,” was reportedly written and recorded in the space of a day after Nugent, seeing that Kid Rock had invited anyone protesting his use of the flag at his concerts to “kiss my ass,” reached out to express his support via text message.
“When you get a text from the Nuge, you know you’ve done something right,” laughed Rock during a joint appearance the two made on WWJ Newsradio 950. Added Nugent, “Rock ‘n’ roll ain’t supposed to be nice — it’s supposed to hit you upside the head with a tire iron, and that is exactly what this song does.”
Nugent, who’s been typically outspoken in his disappointment with the recent removal of the flag from the statehouse grounds in South Carolina, weighed in on the subject during a recent appearance on the World Positive Thinkers podcast. “I believe that we always have to look at substance over symbolism, and I think we have to be honest,” argued Nugent. “If we burned every Confederate flag today, would they stop shooting each other in Chicago? If we burned every Confederate flag today, would we stop sanctuary cities from accommodating murderers and rapists and savage people?”
No word yet on whether Nugent and Kid Rock, both of whom were born in Michigan, have plans to collaborate on more songs in the future. “Kiss My Rebel Ass” will reportedly be available as a free download from both of their websites on July 17.
