I am noticing - in a totally opinionated way - a dramatic uptick in "good stuff" that needs to be passed along.  I have a gut feel that in the next year or two things are going to get markedly different, globally.
It could be a China-attacks-Japan-drawing-in-the-US thing, or Russia/Ukraine-or-someone, or Israel attacks Iran with Saudi & other help, or, or, or.  But I have the sensation we're approaching an inflection point in the world.  There are far too many piles of flame-ready tinder around the world, and far too many people playing with matches - both domestically and globally, for something to not catch fire.  And once one fire starts, it'll spread.  And I fear - FEAR - the accuracy of the line from "The Hunt from Red October"....

For the record, I disagree with Roger Water's personal politics but I do enjoy the timeless music he has created. A few years back JENNIFER did a great post in regards to the celebrities that need to  Shut Up and DANCE MONKEY.

  I totally agree with her sentiments. I rarely watch TV anymore. I don't go to movies unless I know the actors or director ( Clint Eastwood, American Sniper I will see) are not complete liberal hypocrits like Liam Neeson and most of the shitbags in Hollyweird. 

Anyway, I think you get my drift...

 I have a Dell hooked up to the preamp and amps that are powering a pair of PSB Gold Stratus speakers up on the mezzanine. I've had all the stuff for years and decided to put it together
here at the shop a couple years ago.

Oprah and "team" to march in Selma for Martin Luther King, Jr.

Along the way, and in Dallas County particularly, I hope she and her "team" take notice of how Martin's dream of equality was squandered and how three and four generation blacks and whites have since been hamstrung by complacency and apathy which are the by-products of  a failed welfare system (aka. LBJ's "Great Society). The quality of life for blacks and whites living in rural areas (urban too for that matter) is so much lower now than than it was in 1965. Yes, they have EBT cards, subsidized housing, utilities, Medicaid (soon to be obolacare), obola phones, gold dental bling, 22's on their rides,  etc. but few of these recipients have two parents living under the same roof, a chance for a career other than crime or drawing a .gov check, a chance to own a decent home, and high probability of being killed before reaching old age, etc. I hope this makes you "feel good" Oprah.

Two men in Germany were out exploring the fields when they found two pipes sticking up from the ground in the middle of nowhere. What they discovered is nothing short of amazing. 
 

This is the description of the above photo:

 So when visiting an old friend in northern germany (formerly GDR) he told me about these weird periscope like pipes in the woods. they often played there as kids and knew about the bunkers below, but never were allowed to get near them. Last week we decided to check them out and this is our report. (sry for my bad english, im trying my best)

Authorities have named the 29 individuals arrested Thursday in connection to the protests on Interstate 93 north and south of Boston during the city’s morning commute.
The protests, in Medford and Milton, blocked all inbound lanes of the interstate, causing severe delays and diverting an ambulance, police said.
According to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, 14 individuals arrested in Medford were charged with disorderly conduct, trespassing, conspiracy and resisting arrest:

• Sabrina Ghaus, 22, of Dorchester
• Nancy Griffin, 47, of Brighton
• Johannes Huessy, 33, of Roxbury

Three were charged with disorderly conduct, trespassing and conspiracy:

And one was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon (an expandable baton), disorderly conduct, trespassing and conspiracy:

They were arraigned on these charges Thursday in Somerville District Court and released. They’re due back in court Tuesday, Feb. 20.
According to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, the 11 individuals arrested in Milton were:

• Nicole Sullivan, 24, of Jacques Street, Somerville, pled not guilty to trespassing, resisting arrest, willfully obstructing an emergency vehicle, conspiracy, disorderly conduct and throwing an object on a public way.
• Nelli Routsalainen, 25, of Lambert Avenue, Roxbury, pled not guilty to trespassing, throwing glass on a public way, willfully obstructing an emergency vehicle, conspiracy, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and throwing an object on a public way.
• James Billman, 25, of Colbourne Crescent, Brookline, pled not guilty to trespassing, throwing glass on a public way, willfully obstructing an emergency vehicle, conspiracy, disorderly conduct and throwing an object on a public way.
• Brett W. West, 26, of Warren Street, Boston, pled not guilty to trespassing, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, throwing glass on a public way, willfully obstructing an emergency vehicle, conspiracy, disorderly conduct and throwing an object on a public way.

Irish hunting trip

Two Irishmen flew to Canada on a hunting trip. They chartered a small plane to take them into the Rockies for a week hunting moose.

They managed to bag 6. As they were loading the plane to return, the Pilot said the plane could take only 4 moose.

The two lads objected strongly. "Last year we shot six. The pilot let us take them all and he had the same plane as yours."

Reluctantly, the pilot gave in and all six were loaded. The plane took off. However, while attempting to cross some mountains, even on full power, the little plane couldn't handle the load and went down.











Somehow, surrounded by the moose bodies, only Paddy and Mick survived the crash.

After climbing out of the wreckage, Paddy asked Mick, "Any idea where we are?"

Mick replied, "I think we're pretty close to where we crashed last year."
