Houston police have charged two 10-year-old boys from the Houston school district with
sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy on a school bus.
Now wrap your mind around that.........

One Picture Posted and Look What Happened......
The other day I posted a really nice picture that spoke volumes to me.
One of my readers "CoolChange" ( check out his blog and say HI for me)
said this when he cross posted it on his blog:
"I just want to put my arm around this guy and finish my beer. Maybe let him sip a little of the dregs."
Now it seems one of his friends from "New Zealand" added more :

In that moment, just
before the sun settles
beneath the sea and when
the sky is ablaze with riches,
I wonder if night will capture
these colours. If gold and grey
slip away or stay to lift the dark,
if the waves will still spill over the sand,
if foam will flatten rock. I try
to memorise each salty drop, each
backlit cloud, each moment,
to flourish them forward
flush them through my dreams,
to let them seep their song
deep into my soul. I realise
that there will be other sunsets
I will want to remember. But
this is one I will not forget.

I just find it so amazing that one quick post of a picture that caught my eye suddenly has such a great story to tell and that it touched some people the way it touched me.
Thanks "CoolChange" for giving me a big smile this morning!!!
and please thank your friend for a beautiful Poem!!!

Up Country by Nelson Demille.....New Read
My Uncle gave me this from his bookcase when I saw him at Christmas time.
He said it was a great book so I started it last night.
Anything that keeps me away from the shit on the boobtube works for me.

Propane Tanks...
Propane tanks do not explode. They do not implode and nor do they rupture or come apart on their own. In fact, bringing a propane tank to the point of "explosion" is a tremendously difficult and time consuming task that's not as simple as most people think. Many people believe that a propane tank "explosion" can occur with the slightest of ease. This is not the case whatsoever and people should understand that a propane tank, operating under normal circumstances will not explode or rupture. Safety devices and mechanisms are in place to prevent explosions, accidents and propane tank ruptures or breaches. Just like any other hazardous material or activity, human error is a primary factor in preventing or contributing to any type of accident, however serious in nature.
Sheesh ...How Does This Stuff Happen With TOUGH Gun Laws??
Fourteen people were wounded in separate "SHOOTINGS" across the city Thursday.
Death Traps of My Youth......
Weer'd Beard made a comment on my "FIAT" commercial post about the little 500's
and Smaht Cahs he sees around Boston.
I would never be caught "DEAD" in one of those things. ( That picture is a Ford Escape but it
gives you the idea. Anyway I started thinking about all the shit we did when we were young
and the cars we did said shit in.
Here are some of the ones I remember that my friends and I owned and how we raced
around and drank beer and were young and careless and free with a horseshoe up our asses
now that I think about it!!
In no particular order:(sample pictures grabbed off the webz thanks to google)

Dear Tide, ( Women's Letter)
I am writing to say
what an excellent product
you have.
I've used it all of my married life,
as my Mom always told me
it was the best.
Now that I am in my middle years,
I find it even better!
In fact, about a month ago,
I spilled some red wine
on my new white blouse.
My inconsiderate and uncaring husband started to belittle me
about how clumsy I was,
and generally started becoming
a pain in the neck.
One thing led to another and somehow I ended up with his blood
on my new white blouse!
I grabbed my bottle
of Tide with bleach alternative,
and to my surprise and satisfaction, all of the stains came out!
In fact, the stains came out so well the detectives who came by yesterday
told me that the DNA tests
on my blouse were negative.
Then my attorney called
and said that I was no longer considered a suspect in the disappearance of my husband.
What a relief!
Going through menopause
is bad enough without being
a murder suspect!
I thank you, once again,
for having a great product.
Well, gotta go.
I have to write to
the Hefty bag people.

Rime Of The Ancient Mariner lyrics
( Harris )
Hear the rime of the Ancient Mariner
See his eye as he stops one of three
Mesmerises one of the wedding guests
Stay here and listen to the nightmares
of the sea.
And the music plays on, as the bride passes by
Caught by his spell and
the Mariner tells his tale.
Driven south to the land of snow and ice
To a place where nobody’s been
Through the snow fog flies on the albatross
Hailed in God’s name,
hoping good luck it brings.
And the ship sails on, back to the north
Through the fog and ice and the albatross follows on
The mariner kills the bird of good omen
His shipmates cry against what he’s done
But when the fog clears, they justify him
And make themselves a part of the crime.
Sailing on and on and North across the sea
Sailing on and on and North `til all is calm.
The albatross begins with its vengeance
A terrible curse a thirst has begun
His shipmates blame bad luck on the Mariner
About his neck, the dead bird is hung.
And the curse goes on and on and on at sea,
And the thirst goes on and on for them and me.
“Day after day, day after day,
we stuck nor breath nor motion
As idle as a painted ship upon a painted ocean
Water, water everywhere and
all the boards did shrink
Water, water everywhere nor any drop to drink.”
SAMUEL TAYLOR COLERIDGE (1798-1834)
There, calls the Mariner,
there comes a ship over the line
But how can she sail with no wind
in her sails and no tide.
See .....onward she comes
Onward she nears, out of the sun
See.... She has no crew
She has no life, wait but there’s two
Death and she life in Death,
they throw their dice for the crew
She wins the Mariner and he belongs to her now.
Then... crew one by one
They drop down dead, two hundred men
She...She, Life in Death.
She lets him live, her chosen one.
Narrative
“One after one by the star dogged moon,
too quick for groan or sigh
each turned his face with a ghastly pang,
and cursed me with his eye
four times fifty living men
(and I heard nor sigh nor groan),
with heavy thump, a lifeless lump,
they dropped down one by one.”
SAMUEL TAYLOR COLRIDGE (1798- 1834)
The curse it lives on in their eyes
The Mariner he wished he’d die
Along with the sea creatures
But they lived on, so did he.
And by the light of the moon
He prays for their beauty not doom
With heart he blesses them
God’s creatures all of them too
Then the spell starts to break
The albatross falls from his neck
Sinks down like lead into the sea
Then down in falls comes the rain.
Hear the groans of the long dead seamen
See them stir and they start to rise
Bodies lifted by good spirits
None of them speak
and they’re lifeless in their eyes.
And revenge is still sought, penance starts again
Cast into a trance and the nightmare carries on.
Now the curse is finally lifted
And the Mariner sights his home
Spirits go from the long dead bodies
Form their own light and
the Mariner’s left alone.
And then a boat came sailing towards him
It was a joy he could not believe
The pilots boat, his son and the hermit.
Penance of life will fall onto Him.
And the ship sinks like lead into the sea
And the hermit shrieves the Mariner of his sins.
The Mariner’s bound to tell of his story
To tell his tale wherever he goes
To teach God’s word by his own example
That we must love all things that God made.
And the wedding guest’s a sad and wiser man
And the tale goes on and on and on.

Cabin, Shelter, House..... Survival Prep..
Check out this "SITE"
The plan is to build a cabin / shelter / house from a shipping / sea container that is suitable for a weekend or a very lengthy stay. One that is self sustainable in a time of disaster for up to a year or longer if need be, and to have all the comforts of home, and more.
When finished it will have both grid and off grid capabilities. Water will be heated using solar energy with electric backup, or by wood stove if necessary. Lighting will be a combination of 110 volt, 12 volt or kerosene. Heating will be a wood stove and solar. Water will be provided by a well source
using both electric and hand pump to feed the cabin.
A large pantry that is mostly underground that will house at least a years supply of food.
There are lots more pictures and details on the blogsite as well as a homemade
Solar panel system from cans... Lots of GREAT IDEAS!
I also googled "Sea Container Home" and was amazed at all that is available as
far as plans , and ideas for this neat idea.
Here are some teaser pics for you.
