Despicable : Senator Doug Jones of Alabama wanted to be one of the first demorats to go on record saying he'd vote NO for Kavanaugh

How low do you have to be to ignore the wants and needs of the majority of your constituents and then release a bullshit story claiming that you are doing it for fear of sending the wrong message to "our boys and girls"?

  1. I still maintain the primary goal of this whole farce has been generating a smokescreen for Senators like this to vote no, if they could fully Bork things so much the better but muddying the waters enough to cover for this type of bottom feeder was job one.

    1. No, I think they wanted a full Borking. They have some wild notion they will get a majority in the Senate. They didn't think Trump and McConnell would hang in.

      Not before. Certainly, not now.

  2. I guess he didn’t want to be senator for very long.

    1. I guess not Jacob. There has been a lot of money spent on advertisement in Alabama on commercials urging Alabamians to contact their senators and tell them to vote YES on Brett Kavanaugh. I bet Jones phone lines and email have been smoking hot during this process too (I know I wrote his office). Naturally, Jones will do as his Swampmasters tell him.

    2. He squeezed by in the election and only after all the accusations about Roy Moore. If he wants to stay in his seat he needs to take a page out of the Joe Manchin playbook. Don’t support gun control, do support Kavanaugh, back Trump on moderate things like tax breaks. Understand that the state is Red and back the things that the people want. Jones seems to care more about wthat his California donors say than his constituents. I did not like Roy Moore for other reasons than the accusations. Come 2020 I’ll vote for a dead dog over Doug Jones. My real hope is that Mo Brooks runs against him. I’m not sure if even Jones’s wife would for for him against Brooks.

  3. A lot of Bammies wish they'd voted for Moore, I'll bet.

    1. Three things beat Moore. One was a sexual smear campaign such as is being perpetuated on Kavanaugh. The other thing was a well ran big money-out of state influence campaign for lifelong liberal Doug Jones. Lastly, and most importantly is the fact that Republicans did not turn out and vote for Moore in that election. Low voter turnout will beat conservatives again in November if they don't get off their ass and vote.

  4. I totally agree, Jeffery... Conservatives had better turn out and vote for those who will truly support and defend our Constitution while there is still time. The left is already attempting to "revise" it to suite their needs.

  5. WTF? I expect asshats like this in California, but I'd expect him to be tarred, feathered and run out of office in Alabama.
