I loved him then and still do. I could kick my ass for not going to a nearby performance of his (6 miles) a few years before he passed. A local classic country/bluegrass station I listen to ( https://www.wqah.com/ ) plays his recordings several times a day. Every now and again I hear one I've never heard. 'Ol Jerry always makes me smile.
I met Jerry Clower on late 1978 in St. Louis. I was 17 years old and he was hilarious and provided a different view on life.
