Hey, Remember That Photo of The Lake At The North Pole?

From July 26th......

Two weeks of unusually warm weather in the North Pole have caused a lake to form in mid-July.
The meltwater lake is approximately a foot-deep. According to the National Snow and Ice Data Center, temperatures in early July were 2 to 5 degrees Fahrenheit higher than average over most of the Arctic ocean.
July is the Arctic's melting month, when sea ice shrinks the fastest.

FAST FORWARD A FEW WEEKS>..........................

Well it seems like the AP has retracted their bogus claim:

The Associated Press issued a formal retraction of a photo it published that claimed to show that a large lake had formed at the North Pole due to global warming.
In its retraction, the AP admitted that not only was the “lake” simply a small melt-pond but that it was natural, not due to global warming. The AP also admitted that the “lake” wasn’t even at the North Pole, explaining that the monitoring station where the photo was taken had drifted hundreds of miles to the south.
