Saturday Night Songs That I Need To Turn Up.....

  1. Saw a version of Kansas at a USO show in Rota, Spain in '85. The show actually featured musicians/singers from Kansas, Doobie Bros., and a few others I can't recall offhand. Steve Morse of the Dixie Dregs was the Kansas guitarist at that time, he's been the guitarist for Deep Purple for the last couple of decades.

Steve Walsh, the lead singer of Kansas, I've seen a couple of times, both with Kansas and solo - - he started his own band called "Streets" that didn't go anywhere. He used to be a wild man at the keyboards, kicking his legs out sideways in head-high karate kicks in time to the music. I think he's a bit creaky these days for antics like that, and he'd rip the crotch out of his suits if he did.
