Trying To Find an Exerpt I Read... Help

One of the bloggers I read had a post to a chapter from a new book ( I think)  being written along the
lines of Unintended Consequences and survival/ fighting back. If my memory is correct I remember
reading it a few months back.

It involved a story about an older man that had fortified his house in preparation for an assault from
law enforcement. He had barricaded that house and then retreated up to the fortified attic to finish
what he had started.  Thats kinda what I remember from the chapter I read.

Do any of you know of this storyline / book?

Thanks :D

  3. "Absolved" - the perennial "soon to be released"* book by super-hero Mike Vanderboegh of Sipsey Street Irregulars.

*It's been "almost done" for like 5 years now, but *THIS* time it seems like it really might actually BE almost done!

I sure hope so, as it would help his finances immensely and I can't think of anyone more deserving!

  4. I think that Rawles book PATRIOTS had a somewhat similar scenario near the end of the book. JBTs were closing in, and the owner of property (Dan?) had booby trapped the property and then commenced to 'thinning the herd' once property was broken into. Or something like that - nothing about attic, as I recall.

  6. There was another book, that had a chapter or so published online, that looked good but i cant remember the name of it. It started out with the atf/fbi confiscating the 4473's from a gunshop and eventually ended with a shootout/ambush of the fed's on a bridge. It took place somewhere in Wyoming if i recall ...

  9. I'm slow and I can't post at work (when I'm on post) but I'm so gratified to see that your other readers identified Mike as the author. I was fortunate enough to meet him in person. He is genuine and absolutely the real deal.

You can send a donation (link on his site) or you can meet up in person and slip him a bill.

  11. If I remember reading from the "Ashes" series the same theme was written about the confiscation of firearms and that started a new American civil war when the populace wouldn't surrender their weapons. the sheepdogs didn't the sheep did what their "betters" told them to do.

Also the form 4473 was mentioned in the movie "Red Dawn" as the Russians wanted to know who had weapons to resist.
