The president then set a goal of landing a man on the moon before the end of the decade and became more involved in politics in Southeast Asia by training South Vietnamese pilots. Folk music was evolving into protest music thanks to young artists like Bob Dylan and the birth of Surfing music by the beach boys grew in popularity meanwhile in England the Beatles record the single "Love Me Do". The new hit on TV for that year was "The Beverly Hillbillies" and the first of the James Bond movies "Dr No" was an instant success, some of the other movies released included "Spartacus" and "El Cid".

    The Barbershop.....

George Bush and Barack Obama somehow ended up at the same barber shop.

As they sat there, each being worked on by a different barber, not a word was spoken. The barbers were even afraid to start a conversation, for fear it would turn to politics.

As the barbers finished their shaves, the one who had Obama in his chair reached for the aftershave. Obama was quick to stop him saying, 'No thanks, my wife Michelle will smell that and think I've been in a whorehouse.'

The second barber turned to Bush and said, 'How about you, sir ?' Bush replied, 'Go ahead. My wife doesn't know what the inside of a whorehouse smells like.'

    Computer IT allllllll afternoon.....

I bought my mother a computer this past year so that she can keep up with the politics.

She is a staunch Republican and detests the current empty suit in the oval office.

Anyway, my brother, who still lives at home, seems to enjoy perusing sites that he shouldn't.

This is the third time the computer just magically got a virus that I couldn't get rid of.

The first two times Malwarebytes did the job.

I spoke to my IT guy Leo and he recommended a full re-install to clean it all up.

So here I am 4 hours into reinstalling XP , all the drivers, security and updates.

I've had 2 ice cold Becks and am ready to shut this thing off for the night.

I threatened my brother, who says he has no idea what happened, with bodily harm if

I have to come back again other than to visit wirh my parents.

I took a screen shot of the history before I wiped everything out and said :

"If I  have to come back here, YOU (to my brother), will have to explain to MOM all the terms that are associted with the websites you peruse!"

Spankings and or Pain In Our Youth.....

The post I did earlier about christmas in the 60's brought some memories to some of you about being spanked by parents or hit by siblings with the hot wheel track.

Here are some of the items that were used in some way or another to administer some pain in my youth. Whether it was disciplinary or an angry friend or sibling.

Disclaimer : My parents/ grandparents always were more upset after I got my spanking so it was done with love and teaching in mind. I do believe there are A LOT of youths that need a good smack nowadays. What comes to mind is all the news we see of the youths at the "MALLS" and posting on youtube of the violence they are imposing on others. Maybe if they got a good beating they would realize that the punishment is worse than what they are proposing to do. The "ANTI-SOMA" has a good post on this today. Although she does't mention spanking per se, I would venture out on a limb and say it would help to curb these animals.

So here are some of the items that issued pain back in the day.....

    SPANKINGS

    SHOOTING YOUR FRIENDS

    WACKING YOUR BROTHER

THIS  WOULD GET YOU POKED OUT FROM UNDER THE BED

THROWN AT ANOTHER SIBLING IN ANGER

USED AS A WHIP BY PARENT OR ANGRY SIBLING

LAWN DARTS, THROWN BY ACCIDENT OR IN ANGER

REMOVE ROCKET FUEL , LIGHT IT, GET BURNED

    Sears Closing 100-120 Stores....

NEW YORK — Between 100 and 120 Sears and Kmart stores will be closed, the retailer said Tuesday, after terrible holiday sales during what is the most crucial time of the year for retailers.
Sears has yet to determine which stores will be closed, but there has been a clear shift in where the retailer will devote its resources.

    "HOWS THE RECOVERY?"

Who The Hell Is Micaela Schaefer?

I have never heard of her and neither did commenter Jman who sent along a link with this note:

I have NO idea who she is.... but there are several pages of photos of her. Thought you could appreciate the quality of her, um, outfit.
Keep up the great work.  Oh and they AIN'T safe for work, unless you're the boss... esp. a couple of 'slips'..

Google .. led me to this statement:

As for Micaela, she’s famous for having been on a couple of reality shows over in Germany, which proves once again, as I always say, that TV is better everywhere else.
